Thank you for using Feelz.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Feelz iOS app. By using Feelz, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Location Data

Feelz uses your device's location to retrieve local weather conditions. Specifically, we collect:

Precise GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) when you open the app or request a weather update
City or region name derived from your coordinates for display purposes

Location data is requested only when you use the app and is never stored on our servers beyond the duration of your active session.

b. Device Information

We may automatically collect limited technical information including:

iOS version and device model (for compatibility and bug resolution)
App version number
Anonymous crash reports and diagnostic logs

c. Information You Do Not Provide

Feelz does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve Feelz. Specifically:

Your location is used to fetch current and forecast weather data from our weather data provider
Device and diagnostic information is used to identify and resolve technical issues
Aggregated, anonymised usage patterns may be used to improve app features

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the Feelz experience.

3. How We Share Your Information

Weather Data Provider

To deliver weather information, Feelz transmits your location to a third-party weather API provider. This provider receives your coordinates solely to return weather data and is contractually prohibited from using your location for any other purpose.

No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, ever.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request (such as a court order or government inquiry).

4. Data Retention and Storage

Feelz is designed with a minimal data footprint:

Location data: transmitted in real time to the weather provider and not stored on our servers
Crash logs: retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes, then deleted
No personal data is stored locally on your device beyond standard iOS system caches

5. Location Permissions

Feelz requests access to your location through the standard iOS permission system. You will be asked to grant permission before the app accesses your location.

"While Using the App" – location is accessed only when Feelz is open and active
"Always" – not requested; Feelz does not require background location access

You can change or revoke location permissions at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Feelz on your iPhone.

If you deny location access, you may manually enter a location to receive weather information.

6. Children's Privacy

Feelz is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

The right to know what personal data we hold about you
The right to request deletion of your data
The right to opt out of certain data processing

Since Feelz collects minimal data and does not associate it with identifiable accounts, most requests can be addressed by simply deleting the app. For any specific requests, please contact us at the address below.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any data we handle. Location data transmitted to our weather provider is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Crash logs are stored securely with access restricted to our engineering team.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we are committed to protecting your information using industry-standard practices.

9. Third-Party Services

Feelz may integrate with the following categories of third-party services:

Weather data APIs: to retrieve current conditions and forecasts based on your location
Crash reporting tools: to collect anonymised diagnostic information

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties beyond our contractual obligations with them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, for material changes, notify you through the app or the App Store listing. Your continued use of Feelz after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
